  Governor Diri receives Sylva's member, Meremubio back to PDP. A former Youth President of Okoroma Clan & former Councilor Nembe Ward 10, Hon.Meremubio Adaminegbe has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and thrown his weight behind the re-election of Governor Douye Diri for second term. Hon. Meremubio Adaminegbe is a founder and Director-General of a group called "Sylva Bounce Back" a group he has now denounced after he was received into Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Okoroma on Wednesday by the sitting Governor Douye Diri, who is aspiring for a second term. Okoroma clan is fully PDP and will massively vote Diri/Law 2023 on November 11.

FIFA Appoints Referees For Eagles, Saudi Arabia Friendly

FIFA the World football-governing body, has appointed Portuguese official Luis Godinho as referee for the international friendly match between three-time African champions Nigeria and Asian giants Saudi Arabia, coming up at the Estadio Municipal de Portimão next week Friday Godinho will be assisted by compatriots Bruno Jesus (assistant referee 1), Tiago Costa (assistant referee 2) and Miguel Noguera (fourth official) at the match kicking off by 5pm Portugal time. FIFA also appointed Helder Carvalho to head the situation in the Video Assistant Referee room, and to be assisted by Bruno Vieira It is the second-ever clash between both countries. DIEZANI APPEARED BEFORE UK COURT OVER BRIBERY

 A former Minister of Petroleum Resources in N, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has appeared before the Westminster Magistrate’s Court, London, over bribery offences. This came in the heels of an investigation by the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency, which leads the country’s efforts to combat serious and organised crimes. Diezani, 63, who also served as the president of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, was a prominent figure in President Goodluck Jonathan’s government from 2010 to 2015. The NCA alleges that Diezani accepted bribes during her tenure as the Minister for Petroleum Resources in exchange for awarding multi-million-pound oil and gas contracts. The charges specified that Diezani was entitled to some fringe benefits including cash, chauffeur-driven cars, private jet flights, luxury holidays, and the use of multiple London properties. The UK minimum wage will go up next year, finance minister Jeremy Hunt will announce at the Conservative party’s annual conference, as the country gears up for a general election. The boost for the UK’s lowest earners will see wages rise to at least £11 an hour ($13.4) — an annual increase for a full-time worker of over £1,000, Hunt will tell party members in the northwestern city of Manchester.
